Christine Tran-Boynes, DO, DABOM (she/her/hers) is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Obesity Medicine Specialist. Dr. Tran-Boynes provides medication management for adults 18 years old and over.
Dr. Tran-Boynes is able to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and body-focused repetitive behaviors (hair pulling and skin picking). Furthermore, she has an interest in treating co-occurring psychiatric illness and excess weight with medications in conjunction with lifestyle changes.
Dr. Tran-Boynes received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She then obtained her medical degree (DO) from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Tran-Boynes completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Sheppard Pratt.
Previously, Dr. Tran-Boynes was a psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sheppard Pratt, and Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc (BCRI).
Dr. Tran-Boynes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Nationally, Dr. Tran-Boynes has been featured on KevinMD.com and Clinical Psychiatry News.
